Brazil reinforces measles vaccine in borders

More than 12 million doses distributed in 2025. So far, 2.4 million have been applied across the country.

Free Brazil of Measles

Recertification as a free country of measles in 2024. Brazil resumed this status after strengthening surveillance and increasing vaccination coverage. In 2018, low vaccination coverage allowed the virus to reintroduction in the country. Last year, the coverage of the triple viral vaccine exceeded the national goal of 95%.

Investments include border vaccination and hard -to -reach places. There is also active search for suspicious cases and day for early detection.
