Brazilian escapes after neighboring building is hit by a missile in Israel
She had to leave the building where she lived because the structure will be inspected. Her room was covered with glass and the walls had cracks. “We called police and firefighters and were informed that they were already in place, the missile fell in the neighboring building to ours,” he said. Still in shock, Rozita began to gather her documents, important items and medicines. “We were informed that the building would be evacuated and we would have time to prepare the bags.”
Despite the fright, she said she doesn’t think about leaving Israel and feels safe in the country. “The government really prepares a system for protecting the population. We received notifications in advance of 30 or 15 minutes before the sirens play, information about where and how to protect themselves,” he says.
As soon as we left the building we received all the guidelines from where to proceed, a nearby school where our data were collected and received the address from which we would be relocated, all very organized. There was food, water, coffee and support for everyone. They were children, families with newborns, elderly, young people and people with pets. It has been very difficult days, missiles and intense alerts, nights and days in course, we are exhausted emotionally and physically.
