Brazilian fell into the River Seine and went to hospital before disappearing in Paris, friends say
“He had savings and decided to be on his own. Every international trip he liked to go to Paris. Everything was fine. He really likes Paris and French culture. My father is French and he loved talking to him, even on Sunday sent a photo in a restaurant that my father loves”, says the businessman.
Flávio’s last steps, according to family findings
The online check-in for the Latam flight on the 26th was done the day before by Flávio. However, he did not board and the family was informed by a message from a French friend of Flávio, called Alex, that he had suffered an accident. The same friend, however, was not with the photographer at the time of the incident.
According to Rafa Basso, another miner and friend of Flávio who lives in Paris, the accident consisted of a fall into the River Seine, near Café Les Ondes, in the 16th district of the capital, a few meters from the riverbank and close to the Tower Eiffel, where witnesses report seeing Flávio on Tuesday, the 26th. Flávio was admitted to the Georges Pompidou hospital, close to the incident, and was released on Tuesday. Rafa Basso says that when he contacted the hospital, he was unable to access the medical records and that he was admitted at 6 am and left at noon.
“The hospital only says that they discharged him because he was well and conscious. And indeed, after that, the agency that rented him the apartment where he was staying confirmed that Flávio went there in person, still wearing his clothes wet, asked for an extension of another day of accommodation. Then, he would have returned to this apartment, taken a shower and started packing his suitcase, but after that we no longer have any contact”, reports the friend.
