China does not participate in wars or plan them, says Chancellor
China does not participate in wars or plan them, its foreign minister said on Saturday after the United States asked allies to impose tariffs on Russian oil buyers, which include China.
The US is asking countries to buy Russian oil to do so while trying to ensure the end of the Russian War in Ukraine. Washington imposed fares on India for the purchase of Russian loads, but refrained from penalizing China, which considers Russia a strategic partner “for all climates.”
The war cannot solve the problems, and sanctions only complicate them, China Foreign Minister Wang Yi said at a joint press conference with his Slovenian counterpart in Slovenia’s capital, Ljubljana, according to a statement by his ministry.
