Colombia will send presidential plane to the US to seek deported
As retaliation, the Trump government will suspend the issuance of visas to Colombians. The US diplomatic service, led by Marco Rubio, said the country will suspend the issuance of visas at its embassy in Bogota. Interruption occurs without provision for a return on services.
Petro’s comments add to the growing choir of discontent in Latin America with Trump. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil condemned, on Saturday night (25), the “degrading treatment” of Brazilians after immigrants were handcuffed on a commercial flight of deportation. Upon arrival, passengers also reported physical aggression during the flight.
The flight where 88 Brazilians were was interrupted in Manaus on Friday night (24) after the air conditioning of the plane failed. On Saturday, the deportes took off at a FAB aircraft towards Confins (MG).
Itamaraty will complain to the Trump government for the treatment given to Brazilian immigrants on a deportation flight. The decision was made after chancellor Mauro Vieira landed in Manaus and talked to Brazilian military authorities to understand the details of what had happened.
