Datafolha: 88% of Flávio voters defend candidacy even after audios

A Datafolha survey carried out between the 20th and 21st of May shows that 88% of voters who declare their vote for senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) argue that he should continue in the race for the Presidency even after the revelations of his connection with former banker Daniel Vorcaro, arrested because of the Master case scandal.

The survey shows that 10% of Flávio’s voters want him to give up his candidacy, while 2% don’t know. The survey interviewed 2,004 respondents in 139 cities. The margin of error in the survey, registered with the Electoral Court under code BR-07489/2026, is plus or minus two points.

In this round, Datafolha shows that there was an impact on Flávio’s voting intention: in the first round simulation, voting intention fell from 35% to 31%, and in the second round, it fluctuated from 45% to 43%. President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva went from 38% to 40% in the first round and from 45% to 47% in the second.

In the total electorate, 64% were aware of the conversations between Flávio Bolsonaro and Daniel Vorcaro. This percentage is higher among those who vote for the son of former president Jair Bolsonaro: 72%. For 54% of the senator’s voters, his relationship with Vorcaro is close, but 73% say he continues to have their trust. For 53%, the senator did the right thing by asking the former banker for money.

Also considering the electorate in general, 48% say that Flávio should give up his candidacy and support another candidate, while 44% argue that he should remain in the race.

In the event that the senator leaves the electoral race, former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro (PL-DF) appears as the favorite name to succeed him at the ballot box. Among Flávio’s voters, 60% have her as their first alternative. The number drops to 39% among all respondents.
