Daughter who killed parents and lived with bodies for years is sentenced to life in prison

After killing them, Virginia would have hidden the bodies in the same house. The woman built an ”improvised tomb” for her father in a room of the residence, while her mother’s body was placed in a wardrobe. The ”tomb” was made with masonry blocks and white clay, with blankets, photos and paintings on top.

The daughter lived normally there for four years until she was discovered. Police officers were visiting the family’s home when she calmly revealed what she had done and showed where the bodies were hidden. ”I knew this would happen eventually, it is appropriate that I carry out my punishment”, he told the agents, according to information from the British tabloid The Sun.

Virginia would also have used her parents’ money on gambling. ”She is a clever manipulator who chose to cruelly kill her parents. This case shocks and horrifies even the most experienced homicide detectives,” Essex police reported to the British newspaper Telegraph.

According to the Court, the crime was premeditated approximately three months earlier. The woman would have purchased the items used in the murders in advance – which made the Justice understand that there was planning in the actions.

Judge stated that the convict’s mental health conditions do not reduce her culpability. The magistrate explained that Virginia had symptoms of personality disorder, signs of autism, depression and psychosis at the time of the crime. He also said that she appears to have remorse and ”self-pity” for what happened.
