Democratic deputy is expelled from Congress during Trump’s speech
I could find the cure for the worst disease in the world, and these democrats would still not applaud Trump
In his speech, which lasted over an hour and a half, Trump highlighted his government’s actions in the first six weeks of office. He said he signed 100 executive orders and taken more than 400 measures, including the imposition of reciprocal commercial tariffs from April and the US withdrawal from the WHO (World Health Organization).
The president also harshly criticized the Democrats and former President Joe Biden, whom he called “the worst president in American history.” Trump has promised tax cuts and stated that “the US will no longer be ‘Woke’,” in reference to the revocation of diversity rules in the federal government.
Trump devoted part of his speech to praising billionaire Elon Musk, who runs the Doge (Department of Government Efficiency). Under its management, the agency has promoted the reduction of federal agencies and the cut of civil servants, which has generated questions in court. The president also promised to “put the American flag on Mars” without detailing the proposal.
Protectionist policy was another point highlighted by Trump. He accused countries such as Brazil, China and the European Union of adopting unfair tariffs against the US and announced that, from April, any nation that charges taxes on American products will be charged in the same proportion.
