Despite the law, Bannon insinuates that Trump will seek re-election in the USA
Steve Bannon, Donald Trump’s former strategist, called on the president-elect of the United States to run for the White House again in 2028.
What he said
Considered a mentor of the global far right, Bannon asked the audience present at the 112th party of the Young Republican Club of New York if they would support Trump in 2028. “Donald John Trump will raise his hand and take the oath of office, his third victory and his second term. Maybe we’ll do it again in 2028? Are you up for that? Trump 2028?”
Prohibited by the United States Constitution. The 22nd Amendment to the US Constitution, from 1951, establishes that the president can be elected for a maximum of two terms.
