Dilma is discharged from hospital in Shanghai and returns to work at Banco dos Brics
Former President Dilma Rousseff, who currently chairs the New Development Bank, known as Banco dos Brics, was discharged on Thursday after being admitted to Shanghai to treat an entrance exam neuritis, an inflammation in the nerve responsible for balance control, his press office said.
“President Dilma Rousseff was discharged yesterday (27) and is already working normally at the headquarters of the Novo Development Bank (Banco dos Brics) in Shanghai,” said Dilma’s advisory in a statement published on social network on Friday.

On Monday, Dilma’s team had reported that she had been admitted to February 21 in a Shanghai hospital to treat inflammation.

The 77 -year -old petista was president from 2011 to 2016, when he left the government after suffering impeachment. In 2018 she tried unsuccessfully to elect to a Senate spot by Minas Gerais.
Dilma took over in 2023 the presidency of Banco dos Brics, based in Shanghai.
