Dino convenes a session of the 1st Panel to evaluate Moraes’ decision on Zambelli

Minister Flávio Dino, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), decided this Thursday (5) to suspend the deliberation of the INSS Joint Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry (CPMI) that determined the breaking of the banking and tax secrecy of businessman Fábio Luís Lula da Silva, son of the President of the Republic, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

In the decision, the minister understood that the commission could not have approved en masse the various requests for breach of confidentiality, including the request to access Lulinha’s confidentiality.

“In this way, just as a court cannot break banking secrecy of companies and citizens with global and symbolic decisions (in a kind of “eye meter”), a parliamentary body cannot do so”, explained the minister.

The decision was motivated by a request made by the Lulinha defense. The lawyers requested the extension of Dino’s decision that annulled the breach of confidentiality against businesswoman Roberta Luchsinger, who was also targeted by CPMI.

Lulinha was the target of a parliamentary request for breach of confidentiality after the Federal Police found a conversation in which he was mentioned by the investigated Antônio Carlos Camilo Antunes, the INSS’s Careca.

So far, there is no evidence that Lulinha is linked to the deviations of association fees from retirees and pensioners.
