Durigan: I won’t rule out going to the US or making contact with the Treasury Secretary
The Minister of Finance, Dario Durigan, said this Tuesday, 2, that he does not rule out the possibility of going to the United States in person to deal with the recommendation made by the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) to apply an additional tariff of 25% on Brazilian products.
“I’m not ruling out the possibility of going to the United States or getting in touch with Scott Bessent, the Secretary of the Treasury,” he said in an interview with National Newspaperfrom TV Globo. “And President Lula will certainly want to make contact with President Trump so that this does not happen, because it is a very unfair measure,” he added.
