Durigan meets with French economist Gabriel Zucman in Paris this Monday

The Minister of Finance, Dario Durigan, meets this Monday, the 18th, with the French economist Gabriel Zucman, in Paris, where he is about to participate in a meeting of finance ministers from the G7, the group of the seven largest economies in the world. The meeting, to discuss international taxation, takes place from 10 am to 11 am (Brasília time).

Zucman is a professor at the Paris School of Economics and the University of California, Berkeley, as well as director of the European Union Tax Observatory. He worked on the proposal for global taxation of the super-rich presented by Brazil when the country presided over the G20, a group of the 20 largest economies in the world, while Fernando Haddad headed the Treasury.

In addition to the appointment with Zucman, Durigan also has a meeting with the newspaper’s international editor Le Mondefrom 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. From 3pm to 5pm, the minister participates in a G7 preparation work meeting with technicians from the department.
