Eduardo Bolsonaro signed as a film producer and controlled finances, says website
Former deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL) formally appears as one of those responsible for the financial management of the film “Dark Horse”, a production about the political trajectory of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL). The information is contained in the work contract obtained by the portal The Intercept Brazil.
The document, signed in January 2024, defines Eduardo Bolsonaro and federal deputy Mario Frias (PL-SP) as executive producers of the feature film alongside the American company GoUp Entertainment.
According to the contract, the two would participate directly in decisions related to the financing, budget and financial structure of the film project.
The revelation increases the pressure on those around the Bolsonaro family after the publication of messages and audios on the website that show senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) negotiating million-dollar resources with Daniel Vorcaro, founder of Banco Master, to finance production.
According to the TheInterceptVorcaro would have paid around R$61 million for the film between February and May 2025. The total value negotiated could reach R$134 million.

The former president’s son reacted to the Minas Gerais governor’s post, who called audios involving the senator and the owner of Banco Master “unforgivable”
Part of the conversations disclosed in the report took place in November 2025, a few days before Vorcaro’s arrest in Operation Compliance Zero and the extrajudicial liquidation of Banco Master.
In the contract revealed now, Eduardo Bolsonaro appears to be responsible, along with other producers, for activities linked to fundraising and relationships with investors.
The text foresees joint action on “strategic considerations related to film financing”, in addition to preparing documents for investors, searching for incentives, sponsorships, tax credits and production financing mechanisms.
In practice, according to the document released by the InterceptEduardo and Mario Frias were part of the decision-making structure on how resources would be raised and used in the project.
The role attributed to the former deputy gains relevance because researchers began to analyze the fate of the values related to the film. The Federal Police are investigating whether part of the resources associated with the film were used to pay for Eduardo Bolsonaro’s expenses in the United States, where he has lived since February 2025.
On Thursday (14), Eduardo denied having received money from the fund linked to production.
“The story that I received money from the investment fund is not sustainable and is crude. My immigration status would not allow it, if that had happened the American government itself would punish me”, he stated.
