Election time: what time does voting in the second round start and end?
The second round of the 2026 Elections will be held on October 25th. Voting will take place from 8am to 5pm (Brasília time), following the national standard defined by the Electoral Court. Counting begins immediately after the polls close.

Official voting time
Voting hours will be from 8 am to 5 pm, following Brasília time, regardless of where the voter is. This means that, in states with different time zones, voting will follow the same national time. After 5pm, when the polls close, the counting of votes begins.

Calculation and result
Vote counting begins as soon as the polls close at the end of election hours, with results transmitted in real time by the Electoral Court. The counting continues until the winners are officially known by the Superior Electoral Court (TSE).
