Electoral Justice of SP declares ineligible Marçal until 2032 for abuse of power
Electoral judge Antonio Maria Patiño Zorz condemned the coach and defeated candidate for the City of São Paulo, Pablo Marçal (PRTB), for abuse of political and economic power.
The sentence, issued on Friday (21), resulted in Marçal’s declaration of ineligibility for a period of eight years, until 2032.
The decision can still be challenged at the São Paulo Regional Electoral Court (TRE-SP).

Marçal was accused of selling political support during his election campaign last year. He would have promised to record support videos for councilor candidates in exchange for donations of R $ 5,000, made via Pix transfers to his campaign.
The conviction was the result of actions filed by the PSB, party of federal deputy Tabata Amaral, and PSOL, party of federal deputy Guilherme Boulos, who also disputed the city of São Paulo in 2024.
To Portal G1, Marçal said that there is no evidence for the conviction and will appeal the decision to TRE-SP.
