Fávaro counteracts accusations that plan is not being released: ‘fake news’

The Minister of Agriculture, Carlos Fávaro, once again classified as fake news the accusations of the opposition that the government announces but does not release the resources of the crop plan. “The debate is essential in democracy. Divergence and counterpoint are relevant and must be respected. But fake news, no!”, The minister countered on social networks. “It is circulating around that the government announces a record crop plan and does not free the resources. This is not true,” Fávaro refuted.

The minister stated that, in the plan 2024/2025, of the R $ 92 billion of equalized resources announced, R $ 84 billion had been operationalized until June. “The final total should be very close to the expected amount. In controlled resources, R $ 96 billion were announced and, by mid -June, more than R $ 80 billion had already been hired. And the execution must also approach the ceiling,” said the minister.

“As the producer knows, when the limit of equalized resources approaches the end, banks naturally reduce hiring to avoid damage to farmers – as the grant may not be guaranteed. This dynamic has always existed, with all ministers of agriculture,” said Favaro.

About the credit of rural product banknotes (CPRS) originating from agribusiness letters of credit (LCAS), with tax exemption, Fávaro pointed out that the result exceeded expectations, with R $ 185 billion released from R $ 108 billion initially. “With Lula government, the Safra Plan follows strong, responsible and transparent.
