FBI offers reward of more than R$300,000 for leads on CEO killer
Killer has been identified. New York Mayor Eric Adams said today (7) that authorities are close to the man. Jessica Tisch, police commissioner, noted in an interview with CNN that police already have “a large amount of evidence” of the suspect’s tracks before the crime.

Brian Thompson, 50, was in front of the Midtown Hilton where an investor conference was being held. He was going to make a presentation at the event, but was hit shortly before 7am (9am BrasÃlia time).
Officers attempted to revive Thompson and took him to a hospital, where his death was confirmed. “We are deeply saddened and shocked by the passing of our dear friend and colleague Brian Thompson, chief executive officer of UnitedHealthcare,” the company said in a statement.
Suspicion of premeditated crime. New York Police Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny said the shooter arrived on foot five minutes before Thompson, who was apparently walking without security guards in front of the hotel. His wife told NBC TV that her husband had received recent threats.
