FIFA hits your foot and Peita Trump over Cup cities: ‘DECISION IS OUR’
Days after Donald Trump threatens to exclude “extreme left” headquarters from the 2026 World Cup, FIFA hit its foot and refuted the US president on the subject.
What happened
Last week, the Republican said he could change some headquarters of the tournament for “security issues”. “There are cities governed by left -wing extremists, they don’t know what they are doing. (…) If we consider an insecure city to the World Cup, even minimally, we will move the place to another city,” said Trump.
Yesterday, one of FIFA’s vice presidents decided by reinforcing FIFA’s independence in the face of the theme.
