Flávio Bolsonaro wore a bulletproof vest during an event on Avenida Paulista

Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ), pre-candidate for the Presidency of the Republic, participated in an event on Avenida Paulista, in São Paulo this Sunday, the 1st, with reinforced security and a bulletproof vest.

Flávio arrived at the demonstration, stopped on one of the roads on the banks of the avenue and went on foot with allies – including federal deputy Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG) and the governor of Minas Gerais, Romeu Zema (Novo) – to the main electric trio, which was located near Masp.

Flávio says that Bolsonaro, currently in prison, will climb the Planalto ramp in 2027

Senator stated that “no one can handle four more years of PT” and said that the political group will continue to be mobilized “until victory”

Questioned by Estadão/Political Broadcast At the scene, Flávio said he wore the vest because he knows the risks to his safety. The senator’s press office said that it was a recommendation from the team that takes care of protecting the presidential candidate. According to a Federal Police agent who accompanied him, the reason was a “real threat of fire”.

At the time a presidential candidate for the PSL, former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) was the target of a stab wound during an electoral campaign in Juiz de Fora (MG), in September 2018. Bolsonaro was admitted to a hospital on the day of the incident and to this day suffers complications from the attack.

Flávio was the last to speak at this Sunday’s demonstration. In the speech, which lasted around 15 minutes, the senator said that Bolsonaro, arrested in Papudinha for the coup plot, will climb the ramp of the Palácio do Planalto in January 2027 if he wins the dispute in October this year.

In his speech, Flávio also attacked President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), made a gesture to the female audience, praised Bolsa Família, defended his father and the desire to move forward with the impeachment of ministers of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) in 2027, with a new elected Parliament.

The focus on the poorest and female voters aims to remedy a problem detected in recent electoral surveys, which indicate that these two segments have greater resistance to their bid for the Palácio do Planalto.
