Foreigners must pay extra fee to take American visa

Rate will be applied to foreigners who request visas from non -immigrants. Examples are the visa of tourism, exchange and temporary work.

It can start to apply from October 1, 2025. The date is the beginning of the American fiscal year of 2026.

Rate does not exempt or reduced. The approved text provides that there will be no exceptions for exemption or discount, regardless of the situation of the applicant.

Process will exceed R $ 2,500

Total cost will exceed $ 450. Currently, the Tourism Visa (B1/B2) costs $ 185, plus the value of the form (US $ 24). With the new rate of $ 250, the total cost will reach US $ 459 (R $ 2,552.91, in the current quotation).

Addition of more than 130%. The final value represents an increase of more than 130% over the current fare.
