Fuad Noman is discharged after 26 days in the ICU, but is still hospitalized in BH

The mayor of Belo Horizonte, Fuad Noman (PSD), was discharged on Wednesday, 29, from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after 26 days. He, however, is still hospitalized at the Mater Dei Hospital in the capital of Minas Gerais, where he was admitted on January 3 with acute respiratory failure – the agent even needed the help of breathing appliances.

Noman was diagnosed with Cancer in the lymphatic system in July last year, on the eve of the beginning of the election campaign. The treatment had an effect and he announced that he was healed between the first and second round of the election in October. The complications, however, did not cease. He has been hospitalized four times since then, for the most diverse reasons: diarrhea, intestinal bleeding, sinusitis, bronchitis and leg pain.

“The mayor of Belo Horizonte, Fuad Noman, was discharged from ICU after 26 days in intensive support with resolution of the infectious framework and respiratory failure. It will follow clinical treatment in hospital, ”says medical report released on Wednesday afternoon by the hospital.

The mayor took remote inauguration at the beginning of the year due to health problems and has been licensed since January 4. The capital of Minas Gerais has been governed since deputy mayor Álvaro Damião (União Brasil).
