Fux, from the STF, approves an agreement between the Union and DF that unlocks aid for BRB
Minister Luiz Fux, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), approved the agreement signed between the Union and the government of the Federal District (DF) that allows a loan of around R$6.5 billion from the Credit Guarantee Fund (FGC). The conciliation was concluded in a hearing mediated by Fux this Thursday, 28th.
The order validating the agreement was published this Thursday afternoon.
Federal government and DF close agreement to help BRB without guarantee from the Union
The credit operation to capitalize BRB will be carried out by the DF with the FGC, with a guarantee of guarantee offered by a syndicate of banks
Fux is the rapporteur for a lawsuit filed by the DF government to force the federal government to participate in the rescue of BRB.
In conciliation, it was agreed that the Union will not help with resources or guarantees, but the credit operation will be guaranteed by large public and private banks.
The DF, in turn, will provide counter-guarantees with the Municipal Participation Fund (FPM) and the State Participation Fund (FPE).
