Ghost of freedom roams the world

The president of Argentina, Javier Milei, spoke on Thursday night (14) at a dinner hosted by Donald Trump, at his luxury resort in Mar-a-Lago, Florida, in the context of the Political and Conservative Action Conference (CPAC).

The meeting brought together guests and people who will join the future Republican government, including billionaire Elon Musk, appointed to lead the Department of Government Efficiency. Two days earlier, Trump and Milei spoke for about 11 minutes on the phone and the Republican reportedly said that the Argentine is his “favorite president”.

At the informal dinner, Milei gave a speech for about five minutes and joked that “today a different ghost roams the world, a ghost of freedom”, in reference to the “ghost of communism”, cited in “The communist manifesto”, by Karl Marx, which Milei called a “pamphlet”.
