Romeu Zema (Novo), from Minas, stated that the tariffs had nothing to do with Bolsonaro and were due to the Brazilian president’s defense of trade in local currency in the BRICs. Zero Three unleashed the dogs on him from Texas: “Of course it has to do with my dad”…

There is obviously an ideological component, especially in the punishments applied to Supreme Court ministers — only Luiz Fux, André Mendonça and Nunes Marques retain their visas to enter the USA —, in particular against Alexandre de Moraes, subjected to the absurdities of the Magnitsky Law. And it is clear that this needs to be reviewed and has been on the Brazilian agenda since the telephone conversation between Lula and Trump. He returned to the table at the in-person meeting. But note that Bolsonaro, in the message in which the North American president announces the end of tariffs for a bunch of products, is a far from solemn absence.
