‘I don’t like to be deceived,’ says Judge after man uses Ia’s ‘lawyer’
An United States judge interrupted an audience after noticing that one of the participants was a “lawyer” created by AI (Artificial Intelligence).
What happened
A group of judges heard Jerome Dewald, author of a labor lawsuit, at a hearing on March 26. Judge Sallie Manzanet-Daniels then said the man “sent a video for his argument”: “Ok. We’ll hear this video now.” The case was analyzed by the first judicial department of the Supreme Court Appeals Division of the State of New York.
Then the “lawyer” started talking about the record reproduced at the session. He appeared in the smiling images, with a shirt and sweater. “May the court allow me to speak, I attend here today to present my argument to a panel of five judges,” he began, before being interrupted by the magistrate.
