In addition to elections: 5 cities vote in plebiscites and referendums this Sunday
Voters from five Brazilian cities will have to choose more than candidates for mayor and councilor this Sunday: they will also participate in popular consultations, involving themes specific to their localities.

In Belo Horizonte, capital of Minas Gerais, it is the day of the referendum on the city’s new flag. Voters will approve or not the change, which has already had the approval of the Legislative branch, in the electronic ballot box itself, after voting for councilor and mayor.
The other consultations are plebiscites, that is, they deal with topics that are still under discussion in the legislative houses of the respective cities. Two occur in Maranhão.
In São Luísvoters will have to position themselves for or against the free student pass on public transport. In the municipality of Governador Edison Lobãothe decision will be on changing the name of the city to Ribeirãozinho do Maranhão.

In Rio Grande do Sul, voters from Two Lajeados will decide on the construction site of the government administrative center.
And in São Luiz, in the state of Roraima, the electorate will give their opinion on changing the name of the municipality to São Luiz do Anauá.
