Iran intercepted messages contradict USA and minimize attack damage, says Jornal
Intercepted Iranian communications minimized the extension of US attacks on the Iranian nuclear program, the Washington Post said on Sunday, citing four people familiar with confidential information circulating in the United States government.
A source, which he asked not to be identified, confirmed this report to Reuters, but said there was serious doubts about the veracity of the Iranian authorities and described interceptions as unreliable indicators.
The post’s report is the most recent, however, raising questions about the extent of damage to Iran’s nuclear program. A preliminary evaluation leaked from the Defense Intelligence Agency warned that the attacks may have made Iran back to retreat only a few months.
