Iran promises to retaliate against Israel after attacks; 4 Iranian soldiers are killed
Iran’s National Air Defense Headquarters said military centers were hit in the provinces of Tehran, Khuzestan and Ilam. At least four soldiers were killed, according to the Iranian army.
Israel carried out a wave of attacks against Iran for hours, with explosions recorded near Tehran, the capital of Iran. The attacks, now officially over, were carried out as part of Benjamin Netanyahu’s government’s response to the military offensive that Israel suffered from the Iranian regime in early October.
The attack used dozens of Israeli Air Force aircraft, including fighters, and was carried out 1,600 kilometers from Israel. According to Netanyahu’s government, all aircraft returned safely to bases.
Israel warns it may attack again
Upon ending the attacks, Daniel Hagari, spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces, issued a warning to Israeli authorities. “We carried out targeted and precise strikes against military targets in Iran – thwarting immediate threats to the State of Israel. The Israel Defense Forces accomplished its mission,” he said.
Iran’s government announced that its air defense system was successful in stopping Israel’s attacks, but admitted that “limited damage” had been identified. Targeting occurs at military bases in Tehran, Khuzestan and Ilam.
