He said he is inviting all global leaders, including US President Donald Trump. “He is being invited to go to COP. And each president will receive a letter, a letter with my signature. It is not an electronic letter, no, it is with my signature, that then they (will) demonstrate whether they will seriously treat this COP or not.” The American has already indicated that it should not come.

In his speech, the president also defended the articulation of regional states for the forest. OTCA is made up of Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru, Suriname and Venezuela.
