Judge rejects Trump’s billionaire process against The New York Times
The judge highlighted the large number of accusations and unfounded complaints against the newspaper.
In the process against the newspaper, four of his journalists and an editor company, Trump denounces the publication of a “derogatory book” about the origin of his fortune and “three false, malicious, defamatory and depreciative articles.”
The American newspaper responded by stating that the process is “unfounded”. “It is not based on any legitimate legal claim and its sole purpose is to gag and discourage independent journalism,” he added.
Trump filed this process after The New York Times published articles about a supposed birthday letter that the president sent in 2003 to Jeffrey Epstein, a businessman found dead in prison in 2019, before his trial for sexual exploitation.
