The Russian government said today that Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky has no interest in ending the war and that his posture makes any negotiated solution to the conflict difficult.

What happened

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov says Kiev doesn’t want to peace. The statement was a response to the base-liver on Friday (28) during the meeting between Zelensky and US President Donald Trump in the White House.

Peskov stated that negotiations showed Ukraine’s intention to prolong the conflict and make a deal difficult. He also pointed out that the West would be divided, with some countries defending continuous sending military aid to Ukraine, while others begin to discuss peace proposals.
