Lula calls Eduardo Bolsonaro “traitor of the homeland” in a meeting with ministers

In a meeting with his team of ministers on Tuesday (26), Lula once again criticized former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP), who is on leave.

The deputy has been in the United States since March and operates with local authorities to implement measures that may change the Bolsonaro judgment course, who is a defendant in the Supreme Court (STF) for attempted coup.

During the meeting, Lula stressed that he considers Eduardo as a traitor of the homeland. In addition, he points out that the parliamentarian should have already been revoked by the House of Representatives.

“What is happening today in Brazil with the former president’s family and his son’s behavior in the US is possibly one of the biggest betrayals a homeland suffers from his children,” said the president, using the cap with the inscription “Brazil is from Brazilians.”

Lula added that he does not know, within the history of the country, some homeland traitor had the “disadvantage of moving to the country, which he is adopting as his homeland, denying his homeland and trying to inflate the hatred of some American rulers against the Brazilian people.”

The president asked his ministers to continue to emphasize the defense of the country’s sovereignty, either in public statements or future interviews. He also commented that the time of the empire is over. “If we liked Emperor, we had not ended the empire,” he said.
