Lula chooses Federal Prosecutor for the Presidency of the INSS; Know who is
President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva chose federal prosecutor Gilberto Waller Júnior to the position of president of the National Institute of Social Security (INSS) in place of the previous president, fired after revelation of fraud scheme in the agency, Planalto said on Wednesday.
The formal appointment of the name, performed by the Substitute Chief Minister of the Civil House, Miriam Belchior, by Lula’s determination, must be published in extra edition of the Official Gazette.

Who is Gilberto Waller Júnior?
Until then, the Federal Attorney General’s Office, the Federal Advocate Organ of the Union (AGU), Waller Júnior is a bachelor’s degree in legal and social sciences with a postgraduate degree in combating corruption and money laundering, reported a statement from Planalto.
He joined the public service as an INSS prosecutor in 1998, and occupied the posts of General and Deputy Attorney General of the INSS. He also joined the Comptroller General of the Union, as Ombudsman General and as Corregedor General of the Union.
Earlier, the Minister of Institutional Relations, Gleisi Hoffmann, had stated in an interview with GloboNews that Lula would be responsible for appointing the new INSS president.
Gleisi also said that the government faces “tranquility” the possibility of a Parliamentary Inquiry Committee (CPI) to investigate the case in the INSS, but said doubting that an investigation through Congress is deeper than being conducted by the Federal Police.
