Lula defends Cuba and trips in Brazil to those who lost visa from the USA
The justification of the US government in the announcement of the revocation of the visas was the Mais Médicos program. Created during Dilma Rousseff (PT) management, the initiative took professionals to needy regions, part of them from Cuba, an example used in the US note.
Lula defended the relationship between the two countries, stimulated during petist management. “It is important that (USA) know that our relationship with Cuba is a relationship of respect, to a people who have been the victim of a block for 70 years. Today, they are needing,” said the president.
Shortly before, the Minister of Health, Alexandre Padilha, also defended the program. Responsible for his creation in Dilma management, the minister said that US President Donald Trump “attacks health worldwide.”
