Lula expresses solidarity after tornado in Paraná and sends support team
President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva offered solidarity this Saturday, 8th, to the victims of the tornado that hit the city of Rio Bonito do Iguaçu, in Paraná, leaving six dead and more than 430 injured.
The Chief Executive highlighted that a team led by the Minister of Institutional Relations, Gleisi Hoffman, is already traveling to the region.

Also according to the president, technicians from the National Civil Defense specialized in humanitarian aid and reconstruction are also on their way to the affected region and professionals from the SUS National Force will provide assistance to the population.
“We will continue to support the population of Paraná. And provide all the assistance that is necessary”, noted the head of the Executive in X.
Shortly before publication, Gleisi announced his trip to Paraná with the interim Minister of Health, Adriano Massuda; the director of the National Disaster Management Center (Cenad), Armin Braun; and the coordination director of Itaipu Binacional, Carlos Carboni. The group will accompany two Civil Defense teams.
