Lula’s ally governor says he is against ‘tariff duel’ with the US
This Sunday, Lula gathered ministers at the Dawn Palace to discuss the regulation of the reciprocity law. The decree must be published today.
“If you do linearly, it can further damage the Brazilian economy and even cause higher inflation, with a reduction in economic activity here in Brazil,” Casagrande told the Facto News.
“If the negotiation is not right, we need to check it out on time if there is any position and economic reaction that can be done in relation to cultural activities, or patent registration, for example.”
Last week, Lula was in Espírito Santo and talked to the governor. The state exported US $ 3 billion to the United States last year, mainly in iron, steel, ornamental rocks and cellulose.
“First, it is necessary to reinforce the need to insistently seek political negotiation, even knowing that President Trump’s behavior is completely unstable,” argues the governor.
