‘Malvada’ squirrel terrifying up with attacks: ‘He almost killed me’
The episodes have been called “fierce attacks” by the California press. Isabel Campoy, a resident of Lucas Valley, explained that the animal jumped from a tree to the floor and then tried to jump toward his face. Isabel protected herself with her right arm, which was “covered with blood” when she managed to get rid of the squirrel. Isabel had to go to the hospital to treat the injuries.
(The squirrel) is beautiful … now, it’s following me. Until he almost killed me.

Joan Heblack, another resident of the region, was also attacked by the animal, who grabbed his right thigh. The resident was taking a morning walk and reported that the squirrel “appeared in nothing” and jumped to her leg. “I was saying ‘I leave, leave.’ I didn’t want to touch him,” Joan told the same station. The scratches and bites made the woman also sent to the emergency room.
Pamphlets warn of ‘very evil squirrel’
Series attacks caused Lucas Valley residents to spread leaflets around the region. The text says the warning “is not a joke” and explains how the squirrel attacks: appearing “out of nowhere” to attack arms, legs and faces. “More than five people have been attacked by a very evil squirrel in recent days,” says the pamphlet.
