Man is seriously injured after attack on the Holocaust memorial in Germany

Police reported that the incident happened around 6 pm local (14h in Brasilia) when “one man attacked another, possibly with a sharpening object.”

In the immediate vicinity of the Holocaust Memorial, it is possible to hear sirens and the security forces isolated a perimeter.

An AFP journalist at the site reported that there are dozens of police vehicles and a fire truck with a high platform, which seems to serve as a point of observation to have a panoramic view of the place and seek the fugitive.

The local newspaper BILD reported a “knife attack” and said emergency services are serving several people who are in “shock condition”.
