Meta confirms use of email from Mauro Cid in Instagram account that discussed denunciation
Minister Alexandre de Moraes of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) made public on Monday (23.) a document sent by Instagram controller, who directly connects Lieutenant Colonel Mauro Cid to a suspected account of being used to discuss his award-winning denunciation.
The proof reinforces suspicions of attempted obstruction of justice around Jair Bolsonaro’s former joint of orders.
Expertise: “Time of the coup” found with Cid is different from that seized with Torres
Technical Report points out that document seized with Torres does not mention state of site or prison of authorities, unlike the version attributed to CID
Strike attempt: STF puts Mauro Cid and Braga Netto face to face

According to the report, the investigated profile was registered with an email linked to the name of Mauro Cid and a mobile number of Gabriela Cid, his wife. In addition, the date of birth registered in the account-May 17, 1979-is the same as Lieutenant Colonel. The email in question was created in 2005, according to data provided by Google, also attached to the process.

The account in question, named “Gabrielar702”, would have been used to talk to members of Jair Bolsonaro’s legal team and lawyer Eduardo Kuntz, who defends Colonel Marcelo Câmara. The content of the messages, revealed by Veja magazine, would indicate that Mauro Cid discussed details about his award -winning collaboration with third parties outside the official channels.
Cid denied bond with the profile in testimony to the STF
During interrogation in the Supreme, Cid was questioned by lawyer Celso Vilardi, who represents Bolsonaro, if he had used Instagram to deal with his denunciation. The military denied it, as he said he was unaware of whether the profile in the name of “Gabriela” was his wife.
The negative enters a collision route with the technical information delivered by the Goal and Google, which can compromise the credibility of the lieutenant colonel as a judicial employee. Cid signed a rewarded denunciation agreement with the Federal Police in 2023, in the context of investigations into the attempted coup d’état after the 2022 elections.
Moraes sees attempted obstruction and has a colonel linked to Bolsonaro
The revelation of the content of the messages motivated new measures of the Supreme Court. On Wednesday (18), Moraes ordered the pre-trial detention of Colonel Marcelo Câmara, allied close to Bolsonaro and defendant at the military nucleus of the coup plot. The minister also ordered the House and his lawyer, Eduardo Kuntz, to be investigated for a possible attempt to obstruct justice.
Kuntz acknowledged the Supreme that he kept conversations with the “Gabrielar702” profile and attached messages exchanged with Mauro Cid and lawyer Paulo Amador Cunha Bueno, also Bolsonaro’s legal team. The messages, now backed by evidence of the goal, indicate articulations to coordinate versions between investigated and monitor the content of awarded collaboration.
