Israel and the USA voted against and, once again, the governments of Argentina and Paraguay followed the same path of rejecting the rights of the Palestinians.
Last week, it was the turn of the government of Javier Milei and Paraguay to reject a UN text that called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. Only nine countries in the world have adopted this stance,
The series of South American support for the Israeli government also included the vote against by Milei and the Paraguayans to a resolution that declared international endorsement of the UN Agency for Palestinian Refugees, UNRWA. In total, the resolution had the support of 159 countries around the world.
