Moraes authorizes visit by Nikolas Ferreira and other parliamentarians to Bolsonaro

Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), authorized the visit of federal deputy Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG) to former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL), who is serving a sentence in the 19th Military Police Battalion of the Federal District, Papudinha, which is part of the Papuda Penitentiary Complex, in Brasília. According to a decision signed this Friday, the 30th, Nikolas will be able to visit Bolsonaro on February 21st, a Saturday, from 8 am to 10 am.

The order also authorizes the entry of other parliamentarians on different dates and times. On the same day as Nikolas’ visit, federal deputy Ubiratan Sanderson (PL-RS) will be able to see the former president from 11am to 1pm.

According to the schedule established by the Supreme Court, for February 18th, a Wednesday, senator Carlos Portinho (PL-RJ) was authorized to appear from 11am to 1pm. Senator Bruno Bonetti (PL-RJ) will be able to visit from 8 am to 10 am. First substitute for Romário (PL-RJ), Bonetti took office in December after the incumbent went on leave.

Bolsonaro was transferred on January 16th to Papudinha by order of Minister Alexandre de Moraes. The former president is serving a sentence of 27 years and 3 months in prison, in an initial closed regime, for the crimes of armed criminal organization, coup d’état, attempted violent abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law, deterioration of listed property and qualified damage to the Union’s property.

Bolsonaro’s routine at Papudinha

The management of the Papudinha Penitentiary sent the STF this Friday, 30th, a report with details about Bolsonaro’s routine in the period between January 15th and 27th, 2026.

According to the report, the former president receives daily medical monitoring, carried out both by private professionals and by teams from the State Department of Health of the Federal District.

The document also informs that Bolsonaro started physiotherapy sessions on the 17th, an activity that he began to carry out almost every day. Bolsonaro maintains a regular walking routine as a form of physical activity.

Regarding visits, the prison unit recorded weekly meetings with the woman, Michelle Bolsonaro (PL), on Wednesdays and Thursdays, as provided for in the prison’s internal rules.

The report points out that meetings with the defense team occur almost daily. On some days, Bolsonaro participated in chaplaincy activities, a religious assistance service offered in the prison system, which includes spiritual support, prayers and pastoral guidance.
