Moraes orders PF to listen to governor of SC after speech about Bolsonaro and Valdemar
Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), ordered the Federal Police to listen to the governor of Santa Catarina, Jorginho Mello, in the coup investigation.
The statement is to verify whether former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and PL president Valdemar Costa Neto, who were prohibited from maintaining contact so as not to obstruct the investigation, spoke recently.
In an interview with Young Panlast Monday (13), the governor stated that the two – Bolsonaro and Valdemar – “talk a lot”.

“Our president Valdemar talks a lot with President Bolsonaro, who is the honorary president, right? I hope that in a little while they can talk in the same room, right? To help yourself even more”, declared Jorginho Mello.
Moraes gave the PF 15 days to take the statement. In his order he stated that the statements indicate “a possible violation of precautionary measures”.
“In this way, in order for the facts to be investigated, I order that the Federal Police carry out an interview with the Governor of the State of Santa Catarina”, wrote the minister.
Bolsonaro and Valdemar are among the 40 indicted in the coup investigation. They have been prohibited from maintaining contact since February last year, as determined by Moraes. Both deny the accusations.
