Moraes sees the risk of a repeat of January 8th and bars pro-Bolsonaro acts in Papuda
Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), ordered the immediate removal and prohibition of new camps and demonstrations in the surroundings of Complexo da Papuda, including “Papudinha”, in Brasília, where former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) is imprisoned. In the decision handed down this Friday, the 23rd, the minister also determined that those who insist on remaining on the road must be arrested in the act.
The measure responds to a request from the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) after groups gathered there to protest Bolsonaro’s arrest. The PGR also cited the “Peace Walk”, an event organized by federal deputy Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG), which started in Minas Gerais and goes to Brasília.

The objective of the action, according to the parliamentarian, is to ‘fight for freedom and justice’
Nikolas rebuts PRF after corporation cites ‘risks’ on BR-040 due to walk to Brasília
The Bolsonarista’s team says that he decided to walk to the federal capital when he had an agenda in Paracatu (MG) and that he immediately sent letters to the corporation and ANTT
In the decision, Moraes cited the coup acts of January 8, 2023 and highlighted that it is “unreasonable to repeat the regrettable previous error of allowing criminals to organize and remain in coup camps freely”.
Opportunity with security!
“The exercise of the rights of assembly and demonstration cannot be confused with the purpose of repeating the illegal and coup-based camps held in front of the Army barracks, to subvert the democratic order and make the functioning of republican institutions unfeasible, especially the STF, which culminated in the attempted Coup d’Etat, on 01/08/2023”, stated the minister.
