Eduardo Bolsonaro's mandate at risk: faults, threats to the PF and even “insider trading”

Minister Alexandre de Moraes of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) submitted to the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) a request to investigate deputies Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP) and Gustavo Gayer (PL-GO) for the offensive they made to Banco do Brasil (BBAS3) in the context of the United States government sanctions to Brazil. Moraes gave PGR five days to inform if you see enough elements to establish an investigation into the deputies.

The Supreme was triggered by the PT leader in the House, Deputy Reimont (RJ), who accuses Eduardo and Gayer of Fake News. The petista requested an investigation for the dissemination of false information about financial institution, crimes against the popular economy, crimes against the economic order and criminal association.

Eduardo and Gustavo Gayer said Banco do Brasil could be punished and even bankrupt if it did not respect the magnitsky law, which was used by the US government to economically sanction Minister Alexandre de Moraes.

In a video published on social networks, Eduardo Bolsonaro said that Banco do Brasil “will be cut from international relations, which will lead to bankruptcy.” Gustavo Gayer ordered people to take “their money from the banks” because “Moraes will break Brazil”.

In the representation of the STF, the PT leader claimed that the purpose of the publications was “destabilizing the national financial system”. Moraes will wait for PGR’s opinion to make a decision. Eduardo is in the United States and is already investigated in the Supreme Court for articulating sanctions to Brazilian authorities in retaliation for the trial of former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL).

This week Moraes also consulted PGR about a request to investigate governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), for possible obstruction of justice in articulations in Brasilia for the approval of the amnesty to scammers.
