Motta sets up a meeting with Lula’s ministers and app work regulation rapporteur
The president of the Chamber of Deputies, Hugo Motta, scheduled a meeting for 10 am on Tuesday (10th) with ministers from the government of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) and Augusto Coutinho (Republicanos-PE), rapporteur of the project that deals with regulating work through applications in the House, to align the text. The president of the special committee in the Chamber that deals with the proposal, Joaquim Passarinho (PL-PA), will also be invited to participate.
The text is being discussed within the scope of a special committee dedicated to the topic, where it must be voted on before going to the plenary. The rapporteur still needs to present a final opinion.

The main point of discussion about the text revolves around the base amount to be paid for each ride or delivery by drivers linked to the apps. The value suggested by the rapporteur is R$8.50, but it faces resistance from sectors interested in the progress of the project, such as restaurants, which defend a lower value.
Another sensitive section is the definition of the limit on the intermediation fee charged by platforms, which must be 30%.
The idea of the meeting is to hammer out the matter so that the text can be voted on in March.
