MOUNJARO X OZEMPIC: What are the differences and how to choose?

The following information was clarified by Dr. Bruna Durelli, a nutritionist, metabolic health expert and co -founder of Levser.
MOUNJARO X OZEMPIC: What are the differences?
Both are injectable drugs, applied weekly through a pen -like device. However, their compositions and mechanisms of action are different.
While Ozepic acts on LPG-1, a hormone that helps to promote satiety and control appetite, Mounjaro has a larger range: it acts on both GLP-1 and GIP, another hormone involved in metabolism. This double action tends to provide more significant results in weight loss and blood glucose control.
Nevertheless, it does not mean that Mounjaro is automatically better. “It all depends on clinical evaluation. Mounjaro has a wider action, but it is necessary to understand if it is the most suitable for each case,” explains Dr. Bruna.
