Musk says he plans to spend 'much less' money to finance political campaigns

Following the electoral success of Donald Trump – whom Musk directed most of his financial support – and obtaining the Republican majority in the House of Representatives, the Tesla head was involved in March in a local Wisconsin election.

Economically supported the Republican Brad Schimel, a candidate for a seat in the Supreme Court of this state in the north of the United States, whose election would have inclined the instance balance to the right.

In the United States, unlike federal judges, local magistrates are elected and almost all have a known political affiliation. Federal judges, on the other hand, are appointed by the executive branch, which is guided in parts by their political affinities.

The support of Musk and Trump was not enough for Schimel to be elected and was defeated by Democrat Susan Crawford, elected for a 10 -year term.
