On a blitz escape, Tesla driver pierces red signal and dies; video

The 26-year-old Tesla driver died after a serious accident in the early hours of Tuesday (25) in the city of Aurora, Colorado. He was running away from a police blitz. Another six people were injured.

What happened

Aurora police made a speed blitz when they caught a Tesla at 156 km/h. They issued a stop order for the driver, who ignored the officers and accelerated the car, according to police. Despite the escape, there was no persecution.

In a cross near the blitz, the driver at high speed drilled the red light and hit a vehicle. Images caught the moment of the accident. The cars rolled after the crash and hit two other vehicles waiting in the traffic light. One of them was a car.
