Pakistan announces that 51 people died in the clashes with India last week
India stated that at least five military and 16 civilians died.
Both agreed with a ceasefire on Saturday, after diplomacy and pressure from the United States.
Indian military said their bases are operational, despite the minor damage.
It was a “very special experience to be with those who synthesize courage, determination and fearlessness,” said Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday, in comments posted on the X, following photographs of his visit to Adammpur Air Base.
The base near the border in the state of Punjab, northern India, is a strategic place for its Air Force.
On Monday, Modi warned the Pakistan that New Delhi would return to attack “terrorist hiding places” across the border if there are new attacks on India and would not be determined by what he called Islamabad’s “nuclear blackmail”.
